Just received word yesterday about my disability insurance and the sale of our home.

Both have been approved. So now we can move forward on our plans.

Looks like I will be release back to work sometime in August/September.

Things are looking up finally. Will update as I know more.

Woohoo!! I get to find a new co driver in August... I'm glad to hear everything is going to good.

I've been reading and following for months. I just never post.

Had a little bit of a scare earlier today. I received an email from my insurance folks that said my disability claim still had some questions to be answered.

So after stewing on it for the ride home from my daily Dr visit for radiation treatments I called the insurance folks. It seems the letter they sent dated the 10th of July was in error and they still needed some information from my Onocology Dr. So the claim processor's supervisor had to call me back and I let them know just how upset I was with this whole issue. He agreed that even though the letter was computer generated, they should have informed me last week about the error instead of waiting until the day the payments were supposed to start.

After several phone calls between myself, the Dr office & the insurance folks it is now all cleared up.

Had the Dr's response to the question they were wanting answered been different, my claim would have been denied and then I would have been in a real pickle financially.

But it all turned out ok, so all is well in my little corner of the world again.

Finished my last radiation treatment yesterday.

Have follow up appointments with the Dr's in Aug & Sept. Once that is done hope to be able to get back to work.

I have been off work since the 7th of May. Ready to get back to work.

Awesome, man!

If you don't mind me asking, how tough were those treatments on you? Did they make you really sick and all that?

Since I did not get Chemo (that's the one that makes your hair fall out, sick), I had concentrated radiation beam treatment. The only really bad side effects I had from it was being really tired a lot of the time and having to be near a bathroom so that when it came time to go did not get a lot of warning a good portion of the time. So hopefully when I see the Dr's for my follow up appointments, the need for having a bathroom close will have diminished and no longer be an issue. Other than that I am doing fairly well.
