Ok, as promised I am updating everyone as to what is happening.

Had a followup appointment this morning with the Dr that will be doing the radiation treatments. Had an MRI & CT scans done this morning so that they can determine where the radiation needs to be directed going forward.

I start the external radiation treatments next week. They will be 5 days a week for the next 5 weeks. The last treatment should be on the 29th of July. Will update as time goes by or things change.

Time for an update.

I am now 1/2 through the radiation treatments. Now going to see Dr every day M - F. Should be done with radiation by the end of this month.

Just was informed that my disability insurance claim has now been approved, should have 1st payment next week for the first two months.

Hopefully we will get word that our house is sold next week so now we can downsize and conserve on expenses going forward.

So all in all, things seem like they are finally falling into place for us going forward.

It has been very stressful since I came off the road with not having a paycheck and trying to survive on my Navy retirement and my wife's paycheck.

Will keep everyone up to date as things change.

Ugh, cancer sucks. My stepdad just recently finished two rounds of radiation and chemo for bowel cancer, and my stepmom just passed away about 2 weeks ago from thyroid cancer. You and your family have my deepest sympathies, and strongest wishes for a speedy recovery.

Prayers and sunshiney happy hippie thoughts sent your way!! That's always a tough road to walk (and sometimes I'm sure it feels more like crawling). Hope the house sells and that you heal up quick!!

Ernie, I am a cancer survivor of 6 years so your are definitely in my prayers. I am glad you posted an update as I have been wondering how you are doing. Hopefully we will be getting an update of all clear soon!
