Let me guess...
Was this the guy who calls himself "Run Hard, Get Paid" or something like that... the former truck driver who lives in his parents basement?
If so, he's not worth paying any attention to.
Yes it was why do u say that? Is he full of himself?
Jordan, I am just gonna give you a couple of links to some former discussions we've had in here about old "Abe"
Hopefully you can understand better why it is good that folks like him are not on the road anymore.
Here's the first one: Basement dwelling truck driver
Here's a second one for your reading pleasure!
Good ol' Abe. Good grief. What a sham that whole thing was. He tried like crazy to set that company up to take a big fall and make it look like he was just an innocent, hard working American trying to make a living but being manipulated and abused by 'The Man'. But to the well trained eye of hard working veteran drivers he was a joke. We've seen those types a million times. They're in every truck stop and every TV room at company terminals sitting around crying the blues.
Don't believe a word that guy said in any of those videos. It was all baloney.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
No, I've never been asked to drive when I'm tired.
I have drove when I wasn't at my best. It was because of driving in the day, then a day or so later having to drive at night. The constant shifting of the sleep schedule. One day I was tired and took some time while driving to recalculate how much extra time I had on that load. Turned out I had 2.25 hours extra. So I pulled in at a rest area and got me 1.5 hours of nap in.
I try to get there as early as possible, but safety had priority that night (or was it day? can't remember).
When I say I'm gonna do a job, I try my best to get that job done. Provided the electronic HOS allows it.
And right this very minute, Tyson is letting the hour glass drain, and drain, and drain. Oh well, guess I'll be making up the miles,... tomorrow.
Hahaha this guy ran the oil fields where I was for awhile. All I could think was if he was complaining about being tired before.. can't imagine he will be here for to long. Well.. he wasn't after about a month he said the company fired him because of his youtube video where some news lady came and interviewed him. Just more excuses from him really. He is just one of those guys where nothing is his fault. Last I saw he was back with some OTR company wanting to lease and or buy his own truck. All I could do is laugh. He is a fool.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
Here he is talking to ABC news after that.
A news story about trucks driving dangerously on the highway and tired truckers being forced to continue driving when tired.

Oh. My. Goodness. They made him out to be some sort of hero! And people wonder why no one trusts the media. Twisting the story to suit their agenda. I'm literally "smh."
