I know this gets asked a lot and I have read countless threads on this topic but usually the OP will list a couple items and then there are 30-50 threads of additional items. So I put together what I feel is a really good list of items and would like some feedback from you guys who have recently done driver training or trainers themselves.

I will be fortunate enough to stay at home during orientation and just make the 1 hour drive every day.

Here is my list of items for On the Road Driver Training (10-14 days)

BAG #1 1- around 30" Duffel Bag 7- Socks 7- Underwear 7- T-shirts 4- Pants 1- Hooded Sweatshirt 1- Insulated Hooded Sweatshirt 1- Set of clothes for sleeping 1- Winter Jacket 2- Winter Hats 2- Gloves (1-fuel/1-work) 1- Rain Suit 1- Laundry Bag 2- Shoes (1-tennis/1-work boot) 2- Sets of Thermo Underwear

BAG #2 1- Backpack (For Shower) 1- Washcloth 1- Bathtowel 1- Shower Shoes 1- Shampoo 1- Body Wash 1- Toothbrush holder 1- Toothbrush 2- Toothpaste 2- Deodorant 1- Bag of Q tips 1- nail clipper set 1- Hygiene Bag

OTHER ITEMS Tylenol Pepto Bismo Tablets Ear Plugs Kleenex 2- Sunglasses 2- Phone chargers (1 car/1 normal) 1- Multi tool 2- Flashlights (1 handheld/1 handsfree) 4- Sets of batteries for flashlights 1- Notebook 6- black pens 2- Highlighters (1 yellow/1 pink) 2- Headphones (1 earbug/1 normal) Paperwork (DL, MedCard, Passport, VA Card, etc.) $200 in cash. Sleeping bag small pillow

*** Everything will fit in my two bags. My phone does everything so I am not bringing a laptop. The only other item I might bring is a book for reading.

Otherwise does my list look complete?

You can always put movies in your laptop and use as a TV... So I say bring laptop

Growing a beard? Shaver stuff.

A large bowl will come in handy for eating and as a "sink" of you need one. For those who take daily pills, do your pill work over the bowl so you won't be looking for a lost pill.

I don't really watch tv or movies so no need for the laptop.

Sleeping bag/pillow were last 2 items on the list.

Yeah I have a full beard so no ravors for me. :)

No pills.

I didn't put any food items on the list or related utensils because I plan to wait until I see if I have any room in the truck for such items. I would assume the trainer will be more than willing to stop at a Walmart or such for me to grab some items if room allows. But I am preparing to have to eat most meals at truck stops and that is why I set aside $200 cash for the 10-14 days.

Looks good!

The separate fuel and work gloves is a really good idea. The fuel gloves I use are the "rubberized" type preventing residual fuel and DEF from leaching through onto your hands.

Best of luck and safe travels!

You will start to have a weight problem, most probably. Also, your trainer may want to drive and you can fix something instead of waiting for all those meal stops - even a to-go sandwich takes time not rolling.

You could save space on the towel and bring something else instead unless you don't trust the truck stop towels.

Riding with the trainer is 10-14 days. Shouldn't balloon up too much in that time. Once I am in my truck I will eat 100% in truck.

I am hoping the trainer will have room for me to put a few food items BUT I am preparing for the worst case scenario.
