Congratulations! Now you get to learn those things that you didn't know you didn't know! It is very nice to finally get your own truck.
What I didn't know was that firmly and constantly griping the wheel in a 10-2 position for 11 hours a day would give me trigger finger in just a couple months. Change your grip regularly, and if your hands get sore, relax a bit.

My trainer said I was ready and dropped me off at the terminal. I bobtailed home with my truck. I will be back at the terminal in the morning for my first load.
Bobtail:
"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.
Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
