So this week is a very productive week like what the title says and I am just happy with the result. I run 4200 miles this week. I left Richmond, VA saturday about 12:30 pm and I delivered a load to Prineville, Oregon tuesday morning which is my first stop, then to Eagle, Idaho weds.

Then I went from Eagle to Declo, Idaho to pick up a load thats going here in Tulare, CA.

I called my planer and told him I wanna reset then I can start rolling once my reset is done. That way I don't need to chase midnight and can roll anytime. They're all cool bout it.

First time I did a run thats all the way to West Coast from East and I love my miles plus I have a day free since I'm doin reset! More flexibility! So yup I'm gonna date myself tonight as a prize for hardwork this week! :)

Just sharing coz im just soo happy lol! Hope everyone are rockin!

Congrats on some seriously hard running. That's fantastic. Get some really good rest, get out of that truck and forget about trucking for a little while, and enjoy yourself.

Ok that makes sense now. 68 mph trucks and light loads over the mountains makes for some awesome time. Congrats. My best week so far was 3200 miles. We also don't get coast to coast runs and on the long runs the planners always leave too much time lol

I'm OTR but most of my run are North East. I told the if they have west load for a change and yup they gave it to me but it was a very hot load that needs to get there. They don't normally send solo drivers to the West unless its a team but I am lucky they always let me whenever I ask for something. Ofcourse I don't use every drive time I have and I do planning before I start my trip.

Our planner now used to be my FM and yup we really have a good relationship before he got promoted. Same with my dispatcher. The scenic view in Oregon are the best! Thank you! :)

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

Dispatcher:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
