I've been driving in snow, ice, and high winds non stop for two weeks. It sucks lol. I could never be one if those Ice road trucker people lol.

From UT/WY To MN/IA and now a few days all through NY I'm just drained. I was supposed to go home tomorrow but high winds delayed me.

I think I found the culprit.....Russia. Russia hacked our Jet Stream and screwed it up to make the US a frozen tundra.

What? Blaming them for the election seemed to work lol

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

I got my very first taste of the winter weather today. Up until now, I have successfully avoid all the ice and snow.

Last night we parked in Effingham and woke up to snow. Not much, but I had never driven in it!

But I did fine and we are headed back out in it tomorrow.

I am sitting at the Petro in Effingham. The parking lot is an ice skating rink.

Hey chickie...good to see you ;) you've been quiet.

I'm in Bath NY trying to find a decent way to get down to Carlisle PA. The route they gave is all US & state routes. I'm hesitant with the snow and wind to leave out at night.

I've done the 322 & I 99 area before..but I know there's a sections with steep hills and not sure exactly where it is.

GPS keeps trying to take me to route 15. Grrrrrr.

Wahhh. Come on - think of ME - having never actually driven in the snow EVER. Except that time I told you about - coming from a Grateful Dead show in Portland, ME - headed to Providence for the next show, tripping my skull off.

BE SAFE OUT THERE FOLKS.

At least the I-80 Donner Pass is clear - not even a chain-up tonight.

15 is about your only feasible option from up there. Just one slight variation. When you get to Williamsport , stay on 180 East instead of continuing on 15. Turns into 147 at route 80. Continue on 147 to Northumberland. Your GPS should re-route you from there and take you back to 15. Only snag is 2 miles of red lights through Shamokin Dam.
