Curious about their quality of voice and data. Do you lose signal a lot or have a lot of dropped calls?

I'm thinking of switching from AT&T to sprint because att doesn't offer unlimited data, unless you have direct TV installed at your home.

Between amazon instant video and youtube, I can use a lot of data each month, and end up getting throttled down. The only way around it is to pay upwards of $200 to get all of the data I need.

With sprint, I can get unlimited data to a phone and a tablet for about $130 per month, but just not sure of sprints coverage quality.

I've been with them for 10 years and have no issues with calls and very few with data reception. Unlimited plan rocks.

We were with Boost (owned by Sprint) for years and we are now with Sprint. Have been from Charlotte NC to Long Island NY, Virginia, GA, SC and have not had any issues with calls or data. I am very happy with Sprint. They have reasonable rates, and good customer service.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

I just switched from att to sprint. It seems i always have signal to make and recieve phone calls, but data isnt always there. Id say i have data 95% of the time, so it's not so bad. It definitely beats paying those overage fees with att.

I had an excellent deal with Sprint for 8 years - $30/mo. for unlimited everything. I was happy but over time that changed. Sprint started changing the deal. You want an Android phone? Add $10/month. You want 4G? Add another $10/month.

While I had a top-notch phone and 4G service with many bars in my area, I had slow data. It was nearly impossible to watch a Youtube video or do many of the cool things my friends did on their phones. YMMV depending on your location, but Sprint was oversold in my area. Most Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO's) - cell phone companies who don't own their own network so they pay a carrier to let their customers use that company's network - use Sprint's network. In many locations there are just too many people trying to use Sprint's network at the same time so their data connections are SLOW.

Two years ago I switched to T-mobile and haven't looked back. Unlimited data that WORKS! Streaming video on most popular sites (HBO, Netflix, Direct TV, Youtube, etc.) DOESN'T count against against your data. Unlimited data on my phone and unlimited streaming on my iPad for $73 bucks a month! I have grandfathered plans and a veterans discount, but their current rate isn't that far off - $70/mo. for unlimited everything fees and taxes included (ie NOT $70/mo PLUS ~$8 in junk fees and taxes. $70/mo. PERIOD! The moral of my story is to always know your options and always be ready to switch when the going gets weird.

Used to work for them and still a customer. As long as you stick to major cities, interstates, and major highways - you will have coverage and reliability most places you go. There will always be a few struggles here and there, but I like only paying $95/3 lines/25GB of high speed data. Their unlimited freedom plan is pretty cheap too. TMobile would be other decent option for value.

If you like your coverage with AT&T look at Cricket. They are owned by AT&T. They have an unlimited plan for $70 a month. Unlimited talk, text, data (no throttling) in US, Canada, & Mexico. $5 off for automatic bill pay. $10 total bill if you have a 2nd line.
