Just apply to a few places and they will contact you and get your information. It's actually the opposite, they'll be bothering and begging you to work for them. Once you've been approved, they'll send you something saying you qualify to go to their orientation. This is not a job guarantee, just saying you meet their minimum requirements to be hired. You still need to pass everything including physical and drug test.
If you contact a recruiter, one of the first things they will have you do is fill out an application. But, you don't even have to do it that way. You can just Apply For Truck Driving Jobs at that link and have the application sent out to whomever you want. It will save yo a lot of time and it will get results.

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Pre-hire letters are acceptance letters from trucking companies to students, or even potential students, to verify placement. The trucking companies are saying in writing that the student, or potential student, appears to meet the company's minimum hiring requirements and is welcome to attend their orientation at the company’s expense once he or she graduates from truck driving school and has their CDL in hand.
We have an excellent article that will help you Understand The Pre-Hire Process.
The people that receive a pre-hire letter are people who meet the company's minimum hiring requirements, but it is not an employment contract. It is an invitation to orientation, and the orientation itself is a prerequisite to employment.
During the orientation you will get a physical, drug screen, and background check done. These and other qualifications must be met before someone in orientation is officially hired.
Are you going to a private school or signed up for one
Im currently actually getting trained by my company. I am currently a tech. Thats actually the reason i am looking at trying to contact employers to see if they would still be intrested even with my alternative training situation
And is it something you provide to them or something they provide to you? It sounds like a cover letter for a resume? Or maybe that is what I'm looking for?
Matt, read through those links I gave you. That will provide you with a full understanding of how this works.
A Pre-Hire letter is something they will send you stating that when you are ready to go they will accept you into their orientation. Now days it will usually be in the form of an e-mail.

Matt, if your current company is training you and you want to become a driver, then you will either have to get at least one year of driving experience in with your current company before any one is going to consider you, or you will need to go through someone else's training program. It is possible you may get by with going through a refresher course, but the problem that you are facing is that you will not have a 160 hour training certificate - that is going to hinder you greatly in your search for a driving job.
For the most part you will need a training certificate stating that you have had 160 hours of training, or you will need to have one year of verifiable employment as a driver if you want to pursue a driving job at one of the major carriers.
I read through the links I was still confused on how it worked. I looked at the letter as something you sent out to companies and didn't realize it was actually something they sent you. And that is actually what had brought the question up I was just wondering what some of the options were aside from major carriers just trying to get a feel for everything out there. I know now thanks to your last explanation there that the application is essentially the information you give them so thank you for taking the confusion out of it I still had.

I'm not looking at one place in general or even know what I'm looking for yet. So my question is what kind of (e-mail I'm guessing is the best option) should I send to a company asking if they would be interested in even looking at me as an employee. What should I include ,leave out, I don't want to sound like im begging for a job yet I want them to know I'm serious and intrested. Any help would be appreciated.
