The first two, I was east bound on US 50 in NV. Had the brights on and saw the two of them just standing in the road. Due to being the only one on the road, I was able to safely stop. They just stood there staring at me until I tooted the air horn. They both took off in opposite directions. The third one was on a similar road in UT. That one was meandering accross the road, I slowed and it just continued on. What fun.

Turn off the headlights for a moment and hit the horn when you see them near the road from far away like that. They'll almost never move when they're staring into headlights.

I've had former bosses who behaved like that...

I needed a good laugh this morning, thank you. I woke to a flat tire. Nothing like something so simple completely blowing your schedule out of the water.

You're welcome Big Scott. Glad you were able to safely avoid impact. The air horn is a very effective scattering device for wildlife. I've had my share of close encounters.

Ugh, tell me about it. Yesterday in KS the wind was really strong and I stopped at a truckstop for my 30. Opened the door and it flew right out of my grip. Couldn't get it shut after that. Ended up having to strap it shut to get it to Denver so it can get fixed. Almost didn't make it home yesterday because of the extra time that took.
