You just jinxed yourself!
Lololololol..... Maybe I should ditch AccuWeather and switch to GarthM'Weather..Make me feel better anyway!!....π
In Upstate New York it's like someone flipped a switch. The first part of winter was bitter cold, which I was fine with because I ski. Now it's been 40's and 50's lately and skiing is on hold for me. Kind of a bummer, but I've gotten a lot of skiing in already.
I'm from Western New York. In the past 5 years we've had snow late in April 3 different times. One winter, three years ago I think it was, we had 3 inches of snow on May 23rd, just a few days before Memorial Weekend. I lived a little higher up at 1,800 feet so my lowlander neighbors only had rain. But winter can surprise you. Many years we've had a February and March that were warmer than April.

The Plattsburgh run is my favorite run. I love driving I87 up there. Super beautiful.
Last year, in Western NY, winter was basically from the middle of February, to the end of March. But this winter has been crazy, but I am glad I got my "winter wheels" in this, vs last years winter.

I agree...87 is one of my favorite Interstates.
Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).
Snow isnβt what concerns me as much as below 0 deg F. That makes it hard, for me that is.
I'd rather drive if it's just cold, than warmer plus snow to accompany it. Cold I can handle, to a point.
I used to pickup at the GP plant in Plattsburgh and loved that drive, except the night I got snowed in for 2 days at the little mom and pop truckstop just south of town. They had great food though

At least in Canada that is, January and Frebruary are always the coldest. I managed to survive and improved my tarp handling greatly in fact I got to the point that I dreaded switching to roll kit flatbeds that would make me soft between episodes of tarped loads.
