After completing 7 weeks of company training, I have updated my profile to rookie solo driver. I picked up my truck, and my first load yesterday to deliver to Shawnee, Oklahoma on Monday morning. I chose the flatbed route with McElroy Truck Lines and have been most satisfied with my choice. As it has been stated many times in this forum, I think it is attitude that will make you or break you in this business. (or in life, really)

I feel like the real learning is about to begin........

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Congratulations Fireman, and welcome to the flatbed world. I hear McElroy is a good outfit.

Yeah, now is when the real fun begins. Be sure to let us know how things are going. Good luck!

I know your load information says 07:00 but Charles will be out to unload you at 05:00. So as long as there’s no rain have your tarps off and ready at 5:00. If you haven’t been to Shawnee pull in between Lowe’s and (I think it’s) Office Max....You’ll park and unload right about where the trailer is in this picture. Gate will be on your left
