Tailgating, especially other trucks doing it. Also is it that hard to clean up after yourself at the coffee island or just wipe up around the sink after you use it. Maybe just ocd but just wipe up the water

Number 3 is my biggest peeve too! well said!

These are in no particular order:

1) Drivers that pull into a truck stop and just park wherever they feel like it instead of getting into a space when spaces are available 2) Drivers that block fuel lanes for inordinate periods of time 3) Drivers that throw trash and/or pee containers anyplace other than a proper receptacle 4) Drivers that leave the window curtains open, then remove clothing 5) Drivers that blast others with headlights unnecessarily at truck stops or shippers/receivers. This is especially distressing when they do it when another driver is trying to back into a space 6) Drivers that use foul language on the CB 7) Drivers that use CB channel 19 for any purpose other than providing courteous help to fellow drivers 8) Drivers that have no tolerance for innocent mistakes of fellow drivers 9) Discourteous/unprofessional behavior of any kind

We've all got our jobs to do out here. Let's do so with kindness and professionalism. It doesn't cost anything extra and will probably add years to your life, or at the very least, it will add life to your years.

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

Backing onto the Cat scale for second weigh. Watched it this afternoon at the Jonestown Pa Loves on I-81 & I-78. Driver almost hit two people. I walked over to him and politely suggested to take a lap and drive forward over it.

CAT Scale:

A network of over 1,500 certified truck scales across the U.S. and Canada found primarily at truck stops. CAT scales are by far the most trustworthy scales out there.

In fact, CAT Scale offers an unconditional Guarantee:

“If you get an overweight fine from the state after our scale showed your legal, we will immediately check our scale. If our scale is wrong, we will reimburse you for the fine. If our scale is correct, a representative of CAT Scale Company will appear in court with the driver as a witness”

I hear you GTown. My current trainee can't get the fact that not only is it dangerous, but rude too.

I saw a new one yesterday. Watched the whole thing while on my 30 minute break.

Driver pulled on to cat scale to weigh, pulled up in front of the scale, as if he had just fueled and pulled up to the yellow line, pops the brakes and goes in to get his scale ticket. Comes back, slides tandems , then circles around and pulls back onto the scale for re-weigh, pulls up, pops brakes and goes back in for re-weigh ticket. As he was gone the second time, a tanker pulled onto the scale, then had to back off since the first guy was blocking the scale exit.

Tandems:

Tandem Axles

A set of axles spaced close together, legally defined as more than 40 and less than 96 inches apart by the USDOT. Drivers tend to refer to the tandem axles on their trailer as just "tandems". You might hear a driver say, "I'm 400 pounds overweight on my tandems", referring to his trailer tandems, not his tractor tandems. Tractor tandems are generally just referred to as "drives" which is short for "drive axles".

I call these people, "MEs". It's all about me! Mostly it's the cars, but unfortunately I'm starting to notice this behavior with more big rigs, too.
