I was once sent to Poland Spring, ME for a load of water (was my broker load/back haul after delivering my typical forklifts to the area) but when I arrived the load I was "supposed" to pick up and take to Indy, was mysteriously not available, but they so kindly informed me they could load me to deliver in NYC lol.. nice bait and switch.. my company declined the switched load and I went up to Versa Paper Mill in Jay, ME instead to reload.
Looks like you did a great job! Congratulations!
WOW great job! Glad to hear you did GOAL !
Yeah tight streets, crazy back & police escorts are all nice & all but was the offered hook up pretty? And where’s the pic of her?
This is exactly why I prefer my day cab and only going to company terminals l, less stress... most of the time. Sometimes it gets really tight with a bunch of sets all trying to do their own thing, but haven't needed the police yet!
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
A tractor which does not have a sleeper berth attached to it. Normally used for local routes where drivers go home every night.

Brokers often double or even triple book a load. Sometimes a broker load is posted on broker boards. It ends up being the first to check in, gets the load. I had a truck check in behind me one time trying to pick up the same broker load. It was a water load, go figure. I picked up southwest of ATL out in the middle of nowhere.
Then again, I have been at the other side. Go to pick up a broker load and it has already been picked up.

Hahaha. Beauy is in the eye of the beholder. Sorry, I neglected to get a picture.
Guess that old Walmart account helped you to look at backing from outside the box. Great job.
I could not do a Poland Spring load, I would be to tempted to take it to my house. In my opinion it is the best bottled water.

I had a load of Poland Spring water, that delivered to an Extra Food Store, in West New York, NJ it was Hell. Getting to the store, I wound up having a Police escort through the crazy narrow streets. That part was kinda cool. And then I finally got into the area where the dock is.
The way I did it was a glorified 4 point turn, sort of. The red dots are iron fence posts.
I G.O.A.L'd 9 or 10 times, and after a gajillion pull ups, finally got it docked.
The people, though, were absolutely amazing. They were all very helpful and complimentary about how I did. I didnt hit anything, so5i did OK. But I even had a Spanish speaking Grandma try to set me up with her daughter! If it weren't for the people that were around that store, I never would have made it out. Here are some more pictures of my "Little Lady" all nice and parked, and the area.
