I don't know about any other drivers here, but the first thing that crossed my mind was non-participating truck drivers getting caught up in this mess and erroneously being accused of being part of the protest. ISP has been very clear, participants WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE for any accidents.

As if the Public doesn't already have a low opinion of Truck Drivers......This ought to help! Idiots.

Oh I know. It's just pitiful. But an unknowing driver who takes I57 today.. it would be awful for them to get blamed for all accidents, just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Hopefully Kit will be there and get locked up with the rest of those idiots that are causing another black eye for the industry.

These fools all seem to be either owner or lease opps made that they can not cheat the paper log system anymore.

I hope they do not actually do anything trucks have enough of a negative steroid type as it is, I hate when people reinforce it.

Wow I'm really glad you posted this Susan. I'm rolling up to Champaign, IL today via St Louis. I planned on going up through Effingham, but will now take 55 up to Springfield, then 72 over. Don't want anything to do with that mess. Thanks!

I don't feel bad for any of these owner operators or lease operators. Business is business. If you can't compete, you lose.

Owner Operator:

An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.
