Swifts the biggest company so it stands to reason they'll have the most incidents. Its not fair the bad rep they get in my eyes and drivers definitely hate on them from my short time out here and what Ive heard. I get why Gtown might be defensive im sure he hears out there more than we do.

If Swift is the biggest company, what companies are 2, 3 and 4?

Personally I like to make fun at Schneider with it being egg laying season and all.

Some of you just don’t “get” me at all...

I could care less what people think of Swift or the fact some Knucklehead thinks less of me because of the name on my truck or traiker; that is of course until they come into the forum.

Its at that point I will speak the blunt truth and aggressively dispell any BS no matter what company is being trashed.

My point to Donna and Marc;

Focus on Prevention and do not accept the occurrence of careless preventables as a for-gone conclusion it’s going to happen to you.

Yes anyone can indeed make a mistake. Change the paradigm to think out loud; anyone can also prevent and reduce their risk of mistakes. Positivity.

Simple.

I believe (depending on how one measures it) it is

1. Swift Knight

2. J.B. Hunt

3. Schneider

4. Prime Inc.

Not sure who rounds out the top 5!

But pretty sure they all operate on razor?-thin profit margins!

Now here's a scary thought (I just had) for all the wannabe OO's out there!

Since most of these companies (if not all) do lease ops and lease-to-own agreements (which we here seem to believe are good for the Megas... ) WOULD THEIR PROFIT MARGINS BE EVEN LOWER WERE IT NOT FOR THE EXISTENCE OF "LEASE TO OWN" AGREEMENTS???

(Yes... I plead guilty to hijacking my own thread!)

G-Town, that was an interesting link for an overview of the top ten companies. For those who haven't looked at it yet, it is not a TT link, rather to the Supply Chain website. Also, it's interesting and educational to pay a visit to the big companies websites in your spare time. It helps us to see that we are somewhat of a brotherhood (and sisterhood) out on the road and in the profession. If we see other drivers as colleagues and not rivals, we will be more courteous drivers.

Actually, I think Swift is number 3 after UPS and FedEx.
