as an avid cyclist I can tell a tandem bicycle will ruin even the best marriages.

Why? Too much weight on the rear tandem?

My Dad always said he was proud of Mom because she not only kept her figure, she doubled it.

Seriously, the more I think about it, the more I like the idea, if for no other reason than the good exercise. Older people like me who have some arthritis usually find it's easier on the joints to ride a bicycle than to walk. And I would be very safe and keep the training wheels on.

Tandem:

Tandem Axles

A set of axles spaced close together, legally defined as more than 40 and less than 96 inches apart by the USDOT. Drivers tend to refer to the tandem axles on their trailer as just "tandems". You might hear a driver say, "I'm 400 pounds overweight on my tandems", referring to his trailer tandems, not his tractor tandems. Tractor tandems are generally just referred to as "drives" which is short for "drive axles".

Bicycle riding is great exercise. Low impact on your joints.

Tandem bikes are difficult because both riders must be in sync . It really is best for two experienced and disciplined riders.

Okay, Rob. I will eliminate the bicycle built for two idea. And apologies to PackRat, I'm not getting a Unicycle. Lol!

Maybe I'll check into the folding bike suggestion. But with my luck, I'd be in the middle of an intersection with a speeding semi approaching when a folding bike would 'fold'.

I suspect lot lizards ride bicycles. They do pedal themselves around truck stops.

I donated all of my belongings to Goodwill and Salvation Army, and have been living out of my truck full time for nearly 4 months.

I have $917/month in recurring bills and currently avg gross $1800/wk.

The truck has satellite Radio as well as Satellite TV.

I have unlimited 4g internet for my laptop and tablet.

Purchased a dometic fridge to hold heavy whipping cream for my coffee and almond milk for my cereal.

Bought a sleep number mattress and pillow and literally look forward to sleeping in this thing every night and sleep very comfortably. I literally can't even fathom going out and buying a house or renting another apartment and pay for all that unused and wasted space.

The best financial decision I've made.

My hats off to ya’ll. I can’t bring myself too that point. I like my truck, however I also like my home and all my toys. They need a good home too. I run as long as I feel its worth it. Load dependant. Then I go home for a few days or so. I actually have a friend who lives at the house taking care of it for me. It works for us both. I know when I’m ready its there waiting for me. I need the occassional normal life style. The first of the year I am going to hire an employee, which doubles as my girlfriend so I can have a more normal life. My motorcycle has felt neglected the past several years, so I need to correct that....

Doubles:

Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.

Great post / question.

That is my plan as well. Being single, no kids, put all my crap in storage and ready to live life on the go.

Good luck with your plans and remember, it's all what you put into it !

Today wasn't SO bad.

I focused a lot on those above exercises more than just my usual subconscious act of doing them already, and it actually seemed to help.

But ya, I'm a small dude...something these seats weren't specifically designed to support, haha
