Welcome to the TT site! Make a list of what you’re looking for, things such as out for a month or home every weekend; flatbed, dry van or reefer; east coast regional , lower 48 or local; mega carrier, small companies or something in between, etc. Once you have that, start applying to as many companies as possible. Keep narrowing down the maybes until you are set on the firm that best meets your needs and confirms they’re going to hire you. This should not take very much time, believe it or not.
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.

But you have to JUMP NOW.
Additional considerations - prior criminal & driving history.
We typically recommend COMPANY TRAINING - as private trucking schools cannot guarantee a hire post graduation. And any private school should at least have a PLACEMENT SERVICE, or companies they have worked with that hire their graduates.

APPLY APPLY APPLY until you get in somewhere. The first hire is always the most difficult out of a private program. Spend a year of accident trouble -free driving and doors will start opening up for you.
Best of luck - keep us posted...
