So I have a pending hit and run case and looking for company or owner operators who will give me a chance I just need a couple more thousand to finish paying my lawyer to get case dismissed my mvr is clean I’m a good driver and person I have 11 months experience plus military experience I only been taught automatic though I’m in raleigh ,North Carolina If you know any people or companies in NC or nearby I’ll travel at the moment and relocate in the near future I need job security I don’t care about being home right now I can do over the road , teams or whatever

Over The Road:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Owner Operator:

An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.

MVR:

Motor Vehicle Record

An MVR is a report of your driving history, as reported from your state Department of Motor Vehicles. Information on this report may include Drivers License information, point history, violations, convictions, and license status on your driving record.

You are joking right?

No place will give you a chance with a pending hit and run case, for fairly obvious reasons.

None of us know about companies that don’t care about background checks because none of us would ever work for an outfit like that.

McDonalds or 7-11 may be a good place to save up some money. Nobody is going to hire you to drive for them.

Like the others here, you probably wont get any company or O/O to hire you with that pending. Even if someone personally liked you and wanted to give you a chance their insurance would say no.

My suggestion? Dont even waste your time applying for driving jobs until and/or unless the case is dropped.

I give this advice although I'm not a legal expert although I did park pretty close to a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Sorry Jay - but I have to agree with the other posters here.

You can't say "pending hit and run" - and "I'm a good driver" in the same sentence (or paragraph as the case may be).

And every company is required to check references - so your "11 months of experience" company is going to be checked. Did you HNR in a truck? That would be BAD, depending on the circumstances - but there's not such thing as a GOOD hit-n-run, unless you clipped a parked car or something and didn't realize it (but still BAD nonetheless).

Sorry for your situation - it sounds SELF INFLICTED to me, but I doubt you are going to get a hire from any reasonable reputable company in your current circumstance.

Rick

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices
