Swift told me there hair follicle test goes back 3 years. Is this true? Also was going to buy a hair confirm test at CVS . Are they as accurate as the one Swift does?

They are dependent on hair length. Are you trying to hide something, and if so, I would have little sympathy myself. I do not know how long they are worried about recreational drug use in the past as long as you are and have been clean for whatever time they specify as far as a pre employment test. If it is while you are employed with a company I am sure they are all zero tolerance or should be. Passing a CVS test will not guarantee you will pass an employment test.

Hair test back dating is only possible if the hair from that time exists. It is like sedimentary rock, it can be layered and picked apart to see what happened in whatever eon or era but if the rock simply doesn't exist then there is no information for geologists to gather.

Get clean , stay clean, cut hair down short. Basically, an average human hair grows a half inch per month. So if you have the minimum inch and a half at the time of test , only three months of information will be there for the tester.

How long have you been clean?

Best way to ensure you don't fail is just cut all hair down, like boot camp style and wait three to six months for a proper enough amount to grow in to be test ready (inch and a half).

I buzz my hair down so if I was going to leave Prime and apply to a job that did hair follicle, I would have to grow it out for a while before getting tested.

There is no chance their drug test goes back 3 years. I would imagine they're telling people that to find out who has been clean and who hasn't in recent years, or maybe he slipped and meant to say 3 months. It's likely it goes back 3 months.

I don't know anything about the test you can take as CVS and how accurate it is, unfortunately.

A proper hair test kit can be found online. It should cost around 75 on the jungle website and it goes to the same company that the majority of companies end up mailing their employment samples to. Avoid the CVS one and test out your hair at the same place it's going to get screened at by your potential company.

Don't jerk around with this. If you try and risk it, or scrub your hair with bleach or detox kits, just know that one failed screen test in this industry ends your career potential immediately and indefinitely.

I plan to apply for company paid training in Sept/Oct, once my kid is back in school. Im looking at Prime or Swift.

I buzz my head because I've thinned over the years. Is there a min length hair they use. Could they take hair else where?

(I dont use and never have, never will)

Yes, they’ll get it from your arm or leg. I have a bald head, so the lady scraped some hair off my arm with a razor.

I let the hair on my head grow for a couple of months before going off to CFI. It was still to short, she shaved my back and a stripe across my chest. I was only worried I would have enough hair for them to test. Cutting your hair won't change the results. If you have not been clean for long enough or can't stay clean, don't drive an 80,000 pound death machine.

I don't know if I'd let them shave my back. Shaving leads to itchiness and an itchy back out on the road alone sounds horrible lol

Been clean around 3 years just trying to get some facts. I Don't like that they test you when showing up at school instead of before. Thanks for the knowledge I shouldn't have anything to worry about then
