The tone of the article, and the rest of the website, was mildly snarky. I didn't want to get involved in it in my article, but the folks at Sparks seemed to come across as confrontational. I'm guessing that the age 60 thing was a sarcastic comment about making the public believe that what Sparks is doing couldn't be bad if old guys are agreeing to do it.
I don't know for sure. I could be wrong.
I find it odd that they consider it distracting when you consider the endless onslaught of distractions all drivers are continuously exposed to. I suspect the distraction thing might just be an excuse to prevent what they feel is a cheesy form of advertising that might cheapen the look of their resort town. I mean, a handful of trucks certainly doesn't compare to Times Square or Vegas.
What are these LED billboards on trucks? I never saw one. Are they in only certain locations?
