An Iowa sunrise a couple weeks ago in the morning fog.

This one parked next to me a couple weeks ago. Old and new. Check out the air conditioner at the rear of the sleeper. It's hooked up to a portable generator behind the passenger steps.

Then there's the satelite tv antenna on the left corner of the sleeper.

That's no "buddy" of mine. It was a Peaceful Protester I met last trip out to Portland! He needed a ride.

It was a treat seeing Laura and Monty again near Rawlins, Wyoming. And it wasn't even windy this time.

I took this "picture-in-picture" a little while ago inside the Little America Travel Center in Wyoming. It's from the early 1960s. Check out the old vehicles. Even the station wagons are cool!

I love seeing those little window-unit air conditioners mounted on vehicles… something about the ingenuity and resourcefulness of it. Here’s one I saw at a truck stop in Fernley, NV… I’ll bet it gets wicked cold in there!

This is really cool. I absolutely LOVE that era of time, even though it's about 20yrs before I was born...but back then, was when people loved to experiment with and show the fun with the colors and styles of their vehicles. You don't see vehicles like that anymore, or even in those colors. Everything is red, tan, black, dark blue, or dark green....don't see pink, teal, bright green, or anything like that really anymore.

Here's a couple from Ames Iowa yesterday. My phone has a crappy camera and didnt pickup the windmills in the first one really well. 2nd one is of fog that was pretty thick, itd last a mile then disappear only to come back a couple miles later.

Another crappy photo due to the rough parking lot. Pulled off to use the restroom in Cameron MO this morning and found this rig. Itd look much nicer if he had the large sleeper the same color.

Delivering to us foods in Topeka KS today and seen this in the dock next to me. Chips are so light they use step decks with walls to allow them to haul more freight. I always wondered how they hit loading docks, turns out they have jack stands that are air release to lift the back end up.

A couple from a few weeks ago. I stopped at the Loves on I-95 by Ormond Fl. I was going to Flagler Beach since they allow dogs. About halfway between Ormond beach and Flagler I came upon a nice place with good parking for my bobtail and went on even though they dont allow pets. While walking a lifeguard in a 4x4 drove up and told me pets arent allowed, that I passed a sign coming in. I replied she's not just a pet, she has a purpose that I left her vest in the truck because I didn't want it in saltwater. He didnt ask and technically I didn't lie. Did I IMPLY that she was a service dog? Well...YES..lol. But we talked a little and he left. We were leaving anyway and unfortunately she doesn't like water much except showers. But the water beckons me.

Bobtail:

"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.

Drove across Wyoming last night and this morning. Winds were 40 to 50+ mph and I had on 8,405 lbs! Slowed to 40-45 and came across before the 60 mph winds started up.

Rain from 150ish mm to 41mm. Snow in the hills from there into UT. Roads were just wet.
