A working pay phone! (I picked up the phone to see if it had a dial tone, and it did)! ... at the Pilot in West Wendover, NV.

(West) Wendover, NV?

Gateway to the Bonneville Salt Flats? COOL!

Check out movie "World's Fastest Indian" for a glimpse into that place, that world, and just a really cool flick!

I came upon this unique hauling apparatus this afternoon on I-80 West, in Illinois at MM 22.

At first I thought, "Black door and a white door".

When I was passing, I realized it was in fact, "NO door and a white door!"

I did not see the missing door inside the trailer during my brief glimpse in passing. Fortunately, he wasn't hauling livestock or lose marbles.

Not sure if this counts, it's definitely a long ways away from home for me.

Just west of 1-71 off U.S. 30 you'll find the Ohio State Reformatory which is one of the filming locations for the movie Shawshank Redemption.

Oh I've been around, just too tired to comment. Have been running 3000 plus miles every seven to eight days. They aren't hard runs just that sometimes my age is creeping up on me.

Ran a load to Boise on Tuesday and thought I would run to Portland Oregon and back in time for my labs at the VA in Twin Falls. Got an email that I had an appointment on Thursday with the cardiologist. The last one was by phone, so I figured this one would be also... Nope had to run from the house 2 hours to Boise. So it was good I didn't take the little short trip. I've been home but I'm tired and I'm blaming it on the CPAP! I wake up so tired after being on it... Need to use it more regularly and get used to it. Only got a couple projects done but oh well.

I'm sorry to hear of your brother, Annie. It's tough losing friends or family anytime but moreso around the holidays. Where do you live in Ohio? I have been coming out of Greensboro NC and going up to Chicago suburbs or into Wisconsin and I cut across the southwest corner of Ohio.

Take care.

Laura
