Hey I was curious what traffic was like durring the pandemic? Is it lighter since everyone is a shutin?

Tremendously lighter traffic everywhere I’ve been. That’s the worst thing about when the crisis finally ends—everybody will be back onto the roads, visiting everything they missed.

Not tremendously lighter in Calif, MN, KCMO or OR....seems everyone is "Essential" ;-) Elsewhere a bit lighter but was never all that busy cause it's ranch/farm land.

Chicago is dead on the radio normally I-55 from 355 to Lake Shore Drive is over an hour it's been like 25 minutes, Dan Ryan from 95th to the Jane Byrne Interchange is normally about 35 to 40 minutes on Friday it was 15.

I've also noticed when I'm on I65 going to Indy there is less traffic especially cars.

Every day feels like a Saturday its very strange.

I drive around chicago and the suburbs All day and the lack of traffic is kinda of freaky. But I will admit it’s been much less stressful and that’s the only thing I’ll miss when the pandemic is so Over.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
