Best Wishes on the new job! Isn't Cypress out of Florida or somewhere in the southeast?

Good luck in the new gig, Chris. Change is tough, especially after being somewhere for a considerable time. I'm sure you'll make the best of it.
That’s great. All the best to you.
Chris, Good Fortune to you as you move forward in all the new chapters!!!

Yeah their headquarters is in Jacksonville. That's where they do all of their training and orientation. They also have other terminals in the southeast, and 1 in Texas. They're mostly Southeast regional , but they do have a Texas/Oklahoma network of customers and they have an OTR division as well.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
After spending the past 3 years with Swift, I decided it was time to make a change. I've got some big things happening for me next year and was ready to be home more often.
I'm now a Sunbelt/Cypress guy! Home every weekend, and some nights during the week.
I don't have anything against Swift. They tried pretty hard to get me to stay, and I didn't take my decision lightly. At the end of the day, they just didn't have any positions in my area that could get me home as often as I'm wanting now. I left on great terms and will continue to defend them against all of the garbage that most people spew.
But now it's onto the next chapter in life and I'm having a great time so far! I can offer plenty of info to anyone that is considering Cypress/Sunbelt (same company, same training, same locations).
Any updates, Chris? Still w/ Cypress/Sunbelt ?!?!?
We have a 'M.I.A.' thread going on here at T T ... and I was JUST going to add your name.. then I found this!
Please come say howdy; we've missed you!
3 years @Swift ~ nice ! ... and you did awesome there, as I recall. Sure earned your ranks!
Just me (and others I bet) wondering!!
