Hi, there! Something trucking related (music is life, remember?) but not backing, parking, delivering, hours of service, or what outfit is best for me driven.

With the announcement of an upcoming release by AC/DC and the passing of rock legend Eddie VanHalen, I'm going to revive a post that I saw here many moons ago. What is on your preferred playlist? Do you have one for day and one for night? What about weather specific lists?

I have three playlists that are my go to day to day driving: 1) Way beyond eclectic - everything from Amadeus to Zevon, with everything in between. Classical (Baroque French Horn my favorite) including all the periods with limited modern, Country, Western, ("We got both kinds!") Bluegrass, Trance, New Age, New Wave, Punk, Classic Rock. Celtic/Irish/Gaelic vocal and instrumental, Sea Shanty, SymphMetal, Epic, Jazz, (Alan Jackson) Gospel... too many to name, I think there is 13 hours of music in that one. 2) "Driving All Night" - hard driving rock, a bit of metal, and some wild electronic music 3) Rainy (no, not named after our own, I made this one LONG before discovering TT) - created for those days where it's raining, or should be...

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

I'll bite . . . Tom has his old MP3 player, which he had me download music onto a few years ago; and still keeps it in his jacket pocket!

It goes like this: Enigma ... Floyd ...Blue Oyster Cult ... Elton ... Hank Sr. AND jr. ... and a LOT of John Prine, and some WAY random banjo picking and dobro playing stuff I can't identify.

We are very diverse, sir . . as are you!

My playlist is also very diverse. My Spotify "liked" list is about 400 songs long.

I have a lot of Jay-Z, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, LL Cool J, Notorious BIG, Tupac, Big Pun, Ne-Yo, Jodeci, Isley Brothers, Mary J Blige etc

I also have a lot of Marc Anthony, Hector Acosta, Mickey Tavares, Frankie Ruiz, Romeo Santos etc.

There's also a lot of Queen, Bee Gees, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kieth Urban, Kenny Rogers, White Snake etc.

At night I just hit shuffle on the "Liked Songs". It keeps me engaged and focused. When the sun comes up, I tend to switch over to podcasts.

My playlist is either the 150 CDs I carry, or Classic Vinyl on the SiriusXM Radio.

Hey Anne, if you guys are into bluegrass, check these bands out!!!

Cabinet. Greensky Bluegrass, Infamous Stringdusters. Billy Strings

These bands are based in bluegrass but have blended improv rock into their sound. Really fun music and a blast to see live

Thanks, Delco Dave!

I'm printing out this list for the hubby and I to listen to this weekend; sure appreciate it! I'm always amenable to listening to something 'new,' that's within my realms of enjoyment!!!

Tom will be tickled; he's the one that REALLY gets into that stuff; I'm always along for the ride, though . . . ! He can play almost ANYTHING with strings; and actually has a vintage banjo and dobro in his gun safe.

'Preciate ya!
