Hey folks,

I've just upgraded our system to a new server. There will likely be some bugs to work out. Let me know if you see anything unusual happening.

Thanks!

Ok, quick update. Most things are working well at this point. We had a few bugs to work through, as expected, but we have most of it ironed out. We still have some photos that are not showing up properly, but I know the fix for that and it won't be long.

Otherwise, I think we're mostly good to go. If you guys or gals see anything odd, even if you think it's trivial or doesn't mean much, let me know.

Thanks!

A few times this morning I could not log in.

Exit out of the site, come back, and log in with no issues.

That happened during the changeover. It's hard to say what was happening for sure. There were a few bugs to iron out with the server, but I might have been moving it to the new one at that time.

Things seem pretty solid right now. I have an issue with some photos not showing up, and it's an easy fix, but I have to restart one of the programs and that could take one or two minutes, during which the server will not respond. So I'm too chicken to shut down the site for two minutes to restart it!

Oh yeah! Geez I keep forgetting about that. I'll add the word "search" to it.

Thanks!

My last drop down, re: tags . . . doesn't work.

ps: Change your picture, while you are at it, to that one from Leah ~! :)

Fixed! Thanks for letting me know, Anne.

Yeah, I definitely have to update my pictures and such. There's gonna be some massive, sweeping improvements to the website in the coming months.

And thank you for letting all us fans know... Especially thanx for all you do... Providing a service that makes such a positive difference to so many, and by extension a whole huge industry in fact! To not only keep this big high-tech boat afloat, but for running a tight-enough ship, yet not too tight, just about right, with balanced hand and bright mind. (Please pardon the non-trucking metaphor...but hey, at least it's major transportation oriented ;-)...

Noticed nary a difference logging in and posting a few minutes ago. Very cool that you're working on continual improvements, and so smoothly and caringly. Btw, doubtful folks will think of too many or too major, but if anyone has a suggestion, what's your interest level in them, and if interested, I've wondered what's the best way to submit 'em... By email, or dedicated general thread here like Anne just slipped in above, or (suggestion: maybe a virtual suggestion box)?

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

Hey Brett, I noticed two comments in the queue to be moderated, but they have already been approved and are in the forum. Usually they disappear immediately, but they seem to be hanging around as if they haven't been approved yet. Just thought I'd better give you a heads up in case something isn't clicking just right.
