Dude, the trucking industry is short drivers now. Although, with Biden giving amnesty to millions of illegal aliens that will soon be a thing of the past.

I hear ya on that. It's another issue , the illegals. I don't see the merits in granting them amnesty at this time.

Like all presidental and government decisions, I consider them point by point and believe the individual issue is far more relevant than the person proposing them.

Not only will illegal aliens who are granted amnesty be competing for our jobs at lower wages, but the Harris/Bidden administration will probably grant more H-1B visas to skilled workers including truck drivers, who will be allowed to come into this country and work for lower wages. Also, more and more jobs, including minimum wage jobs, require that you speak Spanish before hiring. Please don't tell me that you don't see where this is going.

Fact is he signed the law in 2015 that allowed US crude to be exported. The production boom happened before Trump became president.

Don't trucks have to go through red tape and bureaucracy at the border before crossing into the USA? Doesn't that create a chokehold and stymie the flow of oil? With a pipeline, would the flow of oil into the USA be greater, and can't the trucks and trains pick it up for transport where the pipline ends in the USA? Wouldn't the total movement of oil on trucks and trains be greater than trying to move it in by trucks only?

The issue is jobs. The pipeline will reduce the number of jobs that are required to bring the oil into the US.

Like the topic in the title of this thread. The reality is the suspension of new permits for drilling on Federal land will have little to no impact because the oil companies have permits stockpiled that they haven't used and are still valid
