Are you starting school Monday morning at TDDA? I drove past there the other day and saw 3 or 4 CFI tractors there. Looks like CFI is ramping up using that school again.

Good luck. Hopefully you'll start a training diary.

Yes and I've done straight forward and straight backing, my offset is garbage and only good when I'm looking at the instructor. I'm literally under a ton of pressure because if I don't complete within the second week or at least got good at all maneuvers, or CFI will cut you 😕 it's is alot to take in for pretrip especially because thats how you gain points for the maneuver exam and road exam.

We also got the 2020 CFI Trucks also so we get used to them, since those with be the ones we drive 🤷

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Oh, God! I can tell you horror stories about my experience with Greyhound during my travels between Joplin and my home both before and after training with CFI.

Funny, I finally made it near the hotel sadly the gray hound was so late that the cab company that was supposed to come get me was closed. So I had to wait an hour for someone to come get me lol.

Considering how dangerous spring field is... Yeah well it was alright I guess 🤣

For your offset, take your time. Do exactly what they tell you. When pulled up turn the wheel all the way in the opposite direction you want to go. (Turn left to move to the right lane.) Then when you get to your mark, (What they tell you), turn all the way in the opposite direction and back slowly until truck and trailer are straight. You must be looking at both mirrors like you are watching a ping pong match, that's the only way you will see straight. You then back up straight, like they show you. Then start turning the wheel towards the side you want to push into the hole. Watch both mirrors and get straight in your lane. Boom you got it.

Good luck.

I am scheduled to be in Joplin on the 16th for a student.

Today Sarge told me to follow his hand signs, so I did and got in to it pretty good. But I barely looked at the mirrors because Everytime I did it seemed like he'd get impatient with me. I'm at truck dynasty which is pretty garbage but it's cool. Don't know where the pre trip parts are since Im not a mechanic.

They want me to do a test on all the pretrip on my first week, I told them I'm no mechanic I'm trying to be a driver lol. But they do make a fair point and reason to learn pre trip. But they just don't give me enough time.

Thought about calling Amanda at CFI to find me a better school but I'll try to do what I have.

Pre trip isn’t about being a mechanic it’s about making sure your rig is safe to drive.
