I agree with PackRat. I was bathing regularly when I was sick. I felt it was important.

Hey Bruce, why don't you let us know where you are. Maybe some of our members can come by and do something for you like pick up some food or anything else you might need.

Thank you guys. I'm in Angola, Indiana. I'm in a good location to hunker down in the truck. Plenty of food, water and ice. Have bathing supplies with me, so I'm good with that. Although the virus does rob the victim of the sense of smell so I might stink and not even know it. rofl-1.gif

It really means a lot to me that you drivers have reached out to me and offered to help. My little bump in the road is nothing compared to the medical difficulties faced by Old School and PackRat. I love you guys and please stay safe and well.

Peterbilt in Denton Texas is predicted to announce this Monday they will require the jab. They are going to have a large amount of unhappy employees if that happens. Doesn't surprise me at all. The only thing American about those trucks are the people putting them together.

Do you work there?

Drive one?

Just curious; my fave' breed. PJ knows !!! LoL...

And?~?~?

Don't think it will mean diddly to most drivers or trucking companies. Maybe as before have to wear em at shippers/recievers.... FJB...FJB...FJB...

Actually recently found a source where "someone" in the medical field, is selling official vax cards from CDC, with the 2 shot dates, with "where and when" signed, and with the actual tracking #'s off the vials "used" Then tossed in the trash, for $150

Buddy had to get jabbed for his job with Canon Copiers by Dec. 5th, he got the 1st shot going on 4 weeks now, Moderna, so next in a week. His daughter got him 1 of those cards too late. So useless, UNLESS, they will make a new card for "someone" else hahaha

The ONLY thing is ,to see if its logged into the states data base, in case it's verified, and to get the QR code too. Otherwise I don't think it's worth it if not, it's a wasted buck fit'ty .....

Shipper:

Warning:

Probably not going to be a popular opinion. But, it's just that... an opinion.

Public safety should always override personal feelings on any given matter. There is precedence for this. Ex.: Speed limits, mandates for car insurance, traffic laws, illegal to say certain words in an airport, weapons carried on airplanes, urinating in public, and probably others that I can't recall right off.

So, mandated vaccination during a worldwide health crisis seems to fit the bill pretty well in looking out for the safety of the general public. To say anything of it being a political issue is to politicize public health.

Again, my personal opinion. I have no problem defending my opinion, but just keep in mind that it's my opinion.

We just got this message at 1100 on our ELD:

"Today, the White House through OSHA, issued an emergency rule requiring employers to mandate COVID vaccinations or testing. We are reviewing the details of the rule and determining the appropriate response. We believe this issue is a matter of personal liberty and are working with the American Trucking Associations and others to fight this mandate, including taking actions to try to prevent the ruling from being implemented and enforced.

Please give us and the industry time to evaluate the rules requirements and applicability to you, and the next best steps...."

NOT getting the shot for many reasons.

Hey Joe: You think there's a supply chain problem now?

I will not get it under any circumstances. I will not be tested under any circumstances. I have stopped doing anything that requires either one. If I have to pay someone to pick up groceries for me someday, so be it. Whatever it takes to stay alive. They will not get near me.

For those of you who still think after almost two years of this that there's simply a nasty bug going around and we should all be good citizens and take our medicine, I'll pray for you, but I can't make any promises. It's hard to keep someone alive when they don't know history, have no ability to think critically, and can't detect danger. But I'll pray as hard as I can for you to wake up before it's too late.

My Sicilian grandfather used to say, "There's something rotten in Denmark" when he suspected something was wrong. Well, there's clearly something rotten in Denmark.

Wake up.
