L5 and C3 vertibrae we're fractured years ago. In addition to motorcycle racing, auto racing, ski instruction and a lifetime of hard physical labor have led to back pain. For me personally, the Kenworth seats in my T680 work the best. I leave the lumbar support slightly engaged. Freightliner, Volvo and internal I have to have the lumbar support completely retracted. The Volvo seats were extremely painful to me, I can only sit in it for about an hour or two at a time. I'm in an international LT loaner, it's almost as bad, but hard to tell. The seat is crushed and wore out.

I have the same problem with the Volo seats and some of the seats in our Freightliners and KWs OD picked a uncomfortable seat to spec, luckily not all the trucks have them and the other ones are comfortable.
How about aftermarket lumbar seat add-one?

I tried a FEW (or more?!?) from Amazon for Tom; he even bought one at the PFJ years ago... and... nada.
Now, he takes a LARGE bath towel (one of my good ones) and rolls it military style, tight (or loose) as desired, duct tapes it, and off it rolls for the week, until I unstick it and wash it, haha!
YMMV, but we tried a few. AND, the seats in his Mack (well the drivers' anyway....) are equipped with some 'blow up' button, that he doesn't care for, either.
Just our 2 pennies. I saw this thread earlier...., and was embarrassed to share our 'hillbilly bone...' hahaha!

ps: AND the daily 'SalonPas' patch I apply for him!
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
That’s a really good idea about the rolled up towel. I’m going to give it a try. Thanks!

Being proactive here with this question. Do any of you use lumbar support on your seat? I don’t have a back problem but also don’t want to develop one. My Frightliner seat is very good in my opinion, but I wonder if a lumbar support product would be kinda like preventative medicine?
