....all they had to do was write a check and fix the problem, but they never did. Why do they suddenly care so deeply about our health now?

And the truth is, they don't. Never have. Those in power, now more than ever, care about power, money, control and will use any means necessary to get and retain them. There will probably never be a cure to covid just as there isn't one for the flu or a cold but they really don't want a cure. They want to be able to control the virus to use it to control the people. Thats why, imho, they refuse to look at the scientific studies concerning natural immunity, hell, they refuse to acknowledge it exists in most instances. They also refuse to honestly consider its origin...the Wuhan lab. Either accidentally or purposely released. If purposely I'd believe it was done to see what affect it would have on the worlds economy. I i tend to believe it was accidentally released but it was created in the lab to make it easier to transmit in humans. Again, we need not anger China so we just tiptoe around it and make believe the WHO did an impartial and thoroughly competent study and found no proof.

Personally I don't care what political party created the shot or which wants us to take it. However, I don't want it simply because the democrats are trying to sell it as the cure so damn hard and constantly lie about every other possible medication or natural immunity study. They contradict themselves at every turn and don't even get me started on Fauchi. I wouldn't trust him to diagnose a stab wound if the knife was still hanging in me.

This is going to be the new normal for democrats and the scared, they will not let it go, Americans on the whole are over it since we have had ample time to digest the actual facts about covid, meanwhile the democrats in charge continue to fear monger and ignore the science. I have recovered nicely from covid and will not take the shot. Not because of who's pushing it or even because of potential side effects. I will refuse because I have natural immunity, I'm healthy and like my dad always says...if they have to hard sell you on a product, even bringing it to your door to sell you...ya probably don't need it.

I’ll just say what everyone has been thinking and it’s not going to be very tactful or polite, so if a mod or even Brett want to remove it, that’s fine.

If this current situation going on globally doesn’t convince you that our federally employees (all of them) don’t give a s##t about you, you’re a effing idiot.

Oh, I'm sorry to bring up a mandate (which I stated is a Canadian mandate), that is going to cause hundreds of American drivers in just my one local American city to lose their jobs. Sure, cross border drivers are uncommon (at least in areas not near the border), but I didn't know we couldn't talk about a vaccine mandate that is actually going into effect and is actually going to affect American drivers, unlike the vaccine mandates this country is currently working towards. US drivers aren't losing their jobs due to American mandates yet, US drivers ARE losing jobs due to a Canadian mandate. Not sure why I got such a douchy answer from you-there are 75 drivers just in my company that will be affected by this and are wrestling with what to do. Sorry I bothered you.

Please show me where I (or anyone) said you couldn't talk about the Canadian mandate.

The big difference is that the US mandate affects EVERYONE, not just the tiny percentage of drivers who cross the border. You need to merely find a new job to avoid the Canadian mandate.

While you can't redress your grievances in court there's one thing you can do - QUIT! You see, threats and firings sound great in the boardroom but life works differently. Where are they going to get the drivers to replace you? Fewer than half of the population even has a passport. Yeah, they can get a new one eventually (average processing time is 8-11 weeks, but they can pay extra for expedited service 5-7 weeks). Wait, just because you have a passport doesn't mean you're getting into Canada. DUI? Nope. Felony? Nope. Misdemeanor in the US that's considered a felony in Canada? Nope. Where are they going to find hundreds of drivers who can get into Canada, who are willing to get the shot when even Teamster jobs can't recruit enough drivers? A little place called Notgonnahappen.

That will fix your employer's little red wagon, but won't change Canada's mandate. Your employer is just one of many but they're all going to be in the same boat - no drivers. At some point someone in Ottowa will notice that $542.6 billion in trade has ground to a halt and make a call to Sandringham. Many of the doctors and nurses fired in November for being unvaccinated are getting calls from their old HR departments begging them to come back because they're short handed.

The vaccination and testing requirements would apply to "truck drivers who work in teams (i.e., two people in a truck cab), or those who interact with people in buildings at their destinations or starting points," a Labor Department spokesperson told CNBC.

I wouldn't be surprised if truck drivers ARE covered under this mandate. Local drivers definitely are, and the argument could be made an OTR driver deals with people inside shipping/receiving at the starting or end point.

Your company may require all employees abide by it as well just to be sure they're 100% compliant.

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I've asked/mentioned this elsewhere . . . what would this DO to the training scenario ?!? I mean, it 'is' mandatory teaming... for a spell. Only companies going into Canada? I'm lost. Sorry.

Hmmmmm..
