Hey y’all, just wanted to thank all y’all for all the advice and encouragement while I was in school. I passed my CDL test today!!! Pre trip I got 83 Backing I got 4 Road I got 23 (I was nervous) I’m so excited and can’t wait for this new chapter in my life, can’t wait to tell my kids!!!! Thank you everybody!!!

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Great news and congratulations!!!!! You’re honestly staring at a good time of year. While it might seem a bit intimidating, winter driving is a required skill and one which needs to be learned early on.

Thank you! Yeah I was actually thinking of that too, how much of good timing it is to start as a newbie in the snow. They don’t really teach that in school.
