Hey, everyone. I am debating between Wilson Logistics and Knight Transportation. Who do you think of the better company to drive for?

Since you are either still in school or recently graduated, I’d go with the one that will hire you.

Good luck!

Ok, but what if both companies will hire him?

Matching avatars; I'm seeing DOUBLE~!! (Or is it just old age ?!?!?!?)

Read DIARIES from our Wilson guys, O/P .... also read about the recend Ashley Furniture acquisition. Look up ScottieD67 on YouTube and Facebook, as well.

Read DIARIES from our Knight guys, too!! Look at Davy, specifically, especially if you're looking into Dry Van. Flatbed? Read TwoSides.'

After some due diligence on your part, make your decision. I'd love an orange today, but perhaps an apple tonight. So many factors~!!!

Dry Van:

A trailer or truck that that requires no special attention, such as refrigeration, that hauls regular palletted, boxed, or floor-loaded freight. The most common type of trailer in trucking.

If both companies will hire you, it's really a question of which companies will fit in best with what you want. While the pay, structure, home time, and benefits at one company may fit to one, they may not work for another.

It's been my experience as was taught to me here that concentrating on being a safe, productive reliable driver that's on time and easy to work with is more important than the company name on the door.

At either company, assuming you get through training, it's going to take a while to become efficient and experienced enough to capitalize on what they're paying you. Both are similar in pay.

As Anne said, our diaries section here has a wealth of real live experience with a variety of companies and divisions.

Knight worked for me, but that's just personal preference and how well I applied myself as well as luck. they may not fit for you but might. Heck, I was happy just to be hired by anybody and I figured that I need to just be the best that I can be. I take the advice here very seriously and it's paid off.

If every important aspect (pay, freight, hometime, benefits, etc.) is the same, then it doesn't matter, all big carriers are similar. If not, chose the one that makes the best offer.
