So, while waiting for my SB to end to start out driving today, I sent my DM a quick lil note "Ok Next weekend, 25th/26th, I will be fully retiring, clean out my truck and turn it in at the terminal" I expected a fast phone call asking "what'ssss up??"

His reply "10-4" lol that's it?? He continues, his last day is Saturday too, and he will call me when he get's a minute. He like my 1st DM here, are young guys "maybe" close to 30 if that. So I am waiting his call, so we can have a nice chat....Whatta way to find out your DM is leaving huh !

So I'm gunna suggest if my delivery at Kimberly Clark, in Jenk's OK, has a load going west, that will be perfect to round out my last week/pay. So can deliver that and get home to clean out my truck and make sure it's nice and shiney, same as I got it.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

LLOL @ ANnie, It ain't like I won't have wi-fi over there, albeit a wee bit slow at times maybe lol....Taking ALL my electronic devices charges cords etc And do I gots plenty of that stuff.

Well, I finally talked to him he is 33 his last day is THIS Saturday, going to manage some box truck place somewhere else. I told him he is young yet so he has time to find his "niche" He is gunna try and get my return load right back out of Kimberly Clark, to Cali. I reminded him how many times I got sent there to bring loads back, once I was in O.K. Would be a nice flip flop, deliver this load, and pick right back up at the same place.

Nope Annie been planning this relocation for too many years. Buddies wife tried same thing on me (yeah becuz, this "el mechanico" wont be around) hahaha....I will miss the $$ , but eh there's more to life, than chasing the dollar, like chasing my petite filipina around the house, who's been patiently awaiting my arrival over 2 'n a half years now, covid put that on Pause....I'd like to be there before June @ the latest lol we'll see

My hunny lives in a province called Boljoon, on Cebu, it's down south between Oslob, and Alcoy, about 3 hours from Cebu City, where all my filipino, & expat friends are in, or nearby, a city or 2 away, from Cebu. I wanna go down to Dumaguete, 1 of my group friends moved there, so I'll visit him at some point, or he'll come up for some get together.....That was my original place I thought to live, back when I was dumb to things there.

Delivered Kimberly Clark, Jenks OK.. grabbed load out of there, told the ladies there it was nice seeing them 1 last time, now I'm sittin in a Love's on highway 75 S. for SBerth. Supposed to get a last load outta PHX, to Calif/home, before my DM finishes his last day tomorrow. Already joked with him to hook me up, so I don't get some BS load, from who ever....

Everything goes INTO PHX, nothing usually, comes out lol We'll see it's only a few days more to go, counting down.... Sorry Annie hahaha I have a destiny to fulfill , not like I'm dying sheeesh lol

Stevo congrats on the retirement!!! I wish you the best with your next chapter of life Sir.

I go to that same Kimberly Clark quite a bit. Chemical docks though. The folks in security are always very nice.
