Well, am checking out of hotel day early and picked up to go to the family compound around noon. Marlboro's are about $3 a pack, bought a carton lol spent 1st day cruising and shopping for odds n ends at the mall. Went out to dinner with my friend who picked me up at airport. Humidity is like 80% cloudy, light rains, am bored as hell, so off to the mountain I go woohoo

Awwwwe poor Annie it's ok dear lol I will check in when I can, dunno what the signal will be like out in the jungle zone hahaha

Funny seeing the looks from the females in the mall, walking by, seeing a big Kano, 1 mom and daughter smiled so big I could see it in their eyes in passing (dang masks) my ears are sore from wearing the dang thing so much, which won't be done where I'm going.....

Ya'll take care out there, stay healthy, wealthy, and wise

Made it a day early to the jungle compound lol much cooler here than in the city.....83%+ humidity, long ride on my butt in the back off the pick-up, wanted airflow, not in front seat knees hitting the dashboard....

Now, becoming slowly re-accustomed to the lifestyle haha.. Morning "shower" like natives, water was damn cold pouring it on you from a bucket (taboo) haha...

Walked down dirt road/path with the dad to his tomato farm check it all out. Left my cell so didn't get any pics.Let me tell ya, hiking back up to the house, incline was over 8% if not bit more. And did my butt muscles feel every step...

Ok peace n out.

Well, my first month here is close to over onto month 2 lol. I bought a 2019 Suzuki multicab van 660 cc engine 4x4 , 5 speed ($2200)need mud tires couldn't quite make it up this 8% grade dirt path.....kept sliding backwards, an uncle tried n damn near rolled it over !......Finally buncha guys got a long rope and ran uphill pulling as uncle wound it out driving uphill. Lol I got the hell outta their way!! Been parked since outside my lil native house am in next door to widowed sis in law, who takes VERY good care of me. Lol we are a couple now as well.

Bought a 2010 Honda XR 200 Enduro bike for $1400. Figured would get van down about 1/4 mile from house at road, park there, and use bike to go up n down this knarly hill path. Well even my long legs can barely touch ground, I decided to ride it down and back up this half washed away path. Scary stuff, came back up, lost balance tried put left foot down and edge of drop off into the weeds, and fell over lol. Broke off mirror scraped up my elbow n knee, a kid n his dad ran over to help me up, dad rode bike uphill once he could get going (too short to get on bike) Not hurry to practice further just yet n crash besides it's rained helluva lot here n path gets muddy as heck.....

Natives ride up n down like nothing even the kids lol, but at my age now, fear of injury in a foreign country rules my brain....Not like I'm new to riding cycles, hell as a kid I rode, and owned many mx dirt bikes, and went wild on em without fear if biting it...

Weather here changes by the hour !! Been raining again today heavy n light off n on. At least was nice yesterday, since we went to immigration, 2 cities over to get my 1st extension for a month. After my next visit Sept. 1-6th for my 2nd, by 3rd can get 6 month extensions at a time.

It IS more fun in the Philippines 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Congrats on your new chapter. High humidity and cold showers out of a bucket with a bowl takes some getting used to. Right now should be harvest time for all of those delicious tropical fruits. They probably have many types of mangos, yummy. I am sure that you are enjoying the beauty of both the nature and the hotties. Just remember that if you are expecting guest. they will arrive at "Filipino Time," and if you arrive on time for an appointment, you will be way too early. best of luck.
