When I started with marten they gave me a 2022 cascadia. First condo for me so I was happy. Last week my fm put my name in for a upgrade and the ops manager picked me for our terminal! They flew me to mondovi,wi and I picked up a new, new, new cascadia. It had 15 miles on it the first time I started her up! Yes, recorded the first 100 miles and the first 1000. She is the white marten color so I named her Pearl. I’m just tickled pink!!!!!!

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Congratulations, Donna.

I take it you don't have a dog, right? Michael was told he would never get a truck with less than 150,000 miles on it. He got his current truck with 121,000 miles on it when he started and needed to wait a few months before he could bring his dog on board. He's okay with that, though, he's accustomed to to it and it performs well for him. Maybe he's got all the bugs worked out by now.
