A mix of both, but mainly solo.

Thanks, I heard conflicting answers on this. Some make Werner out to be like Covenant so I wasn't sure.

This is going to sound witchy.... But if you actually look on the company websites, you will find most of.the answers you are looking for. Rather than going to other "sources" with conflicting information... Why not look at Werner's site that says this....

It goes on and on talking about the 250 available accounts with various home time for solo. It also talks about their training options.

I have a former student who drives for them and is quite happy. Home every other weekend but that is due to his location. That may not be an option for you.

My dad drove for Werner for many years. I even went for a few ride-alongs with him. He only left to take a nice local gig near me.

100% agree with Kearsey’s advice. Go to the source. Don’t rely on hearsay and information on the internet that lacks credibility. If you belief the majority of trucking information found on the internet, you’d run from this industry.

Kearsey’s advice holds true with any company you are researching, study their website.

I actually did go to their website but I guess I didn't see the page you did. Whatever the case, I thought Werner had a CDL school but they don't so I'm not worried about it lol.

Don't they send their students through Roadmaster CDL school? I'm pretty sure Werner owns Roadmaster.

Can any of our members confirm this?

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Werner, like many companies, use an outside school but provide sponsorship. They use Roadmasters which is advertised and explained on their site as well.

It even explains that you may be reimbursed 100% of the tuition. Most are loan forgiveness programs, as it states no out of pocket up front costs.

I am not sure which companies have their own in-house CDL programs. But if that is what you expect, you will be limiting your options.

Out of curiosity, why do you think Werner isn't listed in the Trucking Truth CDL Programs page? Does it mean that Trucking Truth doesn't approve of their program or just hasn't reviewed it?
