This Sunday, 2022 06 NOV, at 0200 Eastern Standard Time Daylight Saving Time ends. Clocks revert back one hour, so you get an extra hour of sleep. Set all those timepieces back before you go nighty night on Saturday. Try not to arrive an hour early to your delivery the next morning.

I've wondered what happens on your logs, especially if you go off duty exactly at 0200 that day?

Iirc your logs update automatically but you still have to get a full ten hours off

What about someone on paper logs who went off duty exactly at 0200? Would they put the line at 0200 or 0100?

Run a line down at 0200, then write down the location. Put a note of "End of DL Saving Time."

No more dealing with that stuff, here in SE Asia.....It's daylight just bit after 5:45 am, and dark around the same PM time 😁

I heard on the radio that this might be the last time we "fall back". The U.S. Senate approved making Daylight Saving Time (note: Savings is an incorrect word often used) permanent but the companion bill in the House stalled. Most of Arizona along with Hawaii and Florida wouldn't be affected.

Article from Reuters about why the House of Reps can not reach a consensus about whether to adopt permanent Daylight time or permanent Standard time.

The divide is regional rather than along political party lines.

Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
