Well, maybe eventually your wife will make enemies of the company. Then, as they say, your enemy's enemy will become your friend.
Is your wife a driver as well? I don't recall you mentioning what she does.
No, she's working in a customer service role. I thought about jumping ship too since it's a brand new building but I like where I'm at.
I'm also a little disappointed. I dropped her off this morning and ran into a bunch of my coworkers.... Traitors!
Unless they're going in to burn in it down for FedEx lol

Banks, my condolences. It’s tough when those closest to you turn on you and betray you. Lol.
Although, I do kinda like OD because I can usually pass them on highway without any problem. Sometimes the FedEx trucks want to fight.

It depends on the opco. I've had FedEx ground trucks refuse to move so I can merge. FedEx freight drivers will put it on cruise control and let it go.
Personally, I hate cruise control and never use it.

17.5 years of marriage and this is what she does to me smh. I'm tempted to put shaving cream in her bag.
A wise wise woman.

Smart move, join a new terminal and gain seniority.

What's the terminal code?
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

They've hired 18 so far. I think 100 linehaul drivers is what they're aiming for so they're in the top 20%.

I'm not sure, but I think it's TNV. It's in Tannersville, PA. They have no freight yet as they opened yesterday and it doesn't show up on Google maps yet. It's a big building, though.

Linehaul drivers will normally run loads from terminal to terminal for LTL (Less than Truckload) companies.
LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers will have Linehaul drivers and P&D drivers. The P&D drivers will deliver loads locally from the terminal and pick up loads returning them to the terminal. Linehaul drivers will then run truckloads from terminal to terminal. They've hired 18 so far. I think 100 linehaul drivers is what they're aiming for so they're in the top 20%.
That's a pretty large place, we have just over 50 linehaul drivers. Might be awhile before they hit full capacity. Still kinda slow, I'm not even sure if they have work for me today.
I'm guessing they will have a lot of relay freight based on their location.

It provides easy access to Ohio, New England and New York. My understanding is that's the freight they're moving here. The building is supposed to go lite live on Monday.
The building is an old roadway building. It was in shambles when they bought it and from what I've seen they've definitely dumped a bunch of money into this place. It looks brand new.

With it being as slow as it is I don’t expect anything to come from i, but last I checked it’s still pending. None of the Ltl’s out here have really been advertising with the exception of Central Transport.
Refers to carriers that make a lot of smaller pickups and deliveries for multiple customers as opposed to hauling one big load of freight for one customer. This type of hauling is normally done by companies with terminals scattered throughout the country where freight is sorted before being moved on to its destination.

I've experienced a lot of betrayal in my life, but none like this. My wife has done the unthinkable and taken a job with Old Dominion Freight Lines... I don't know what to do
