There's an off road park about 30 miles from my house that I kept meaning to visit but almost forgot about. I got up this morning, fired up the adv bike and off I went. I spent a couple hours, learning the layout, different trails and shooting the breeze with some other folks while having an absolute blast. I don't know if anyone else here rides, but it's the way I maintain my sanity lol.

Looks like a ton of fun there! And I guess I don’t know squat about bikes… to me, yours doesn’t look like an off-road bike, it looks like it belongs on the pavement. It sorta looks like a crotch-rocket. Would love to see a video of you flying through one of those giant puddles! We all have our stress-relievers, glad you found yours! Happy riding!

It's definitely more of a road biased bike being 1000cc and 540# but it's designed to be roughly an 80/20 mix of use. It'll crunch highway miles comfortably but has enough ground clearance and suspension travel to tackle a lot of stuff a traditional road bike can't. My next bike will be much lighter and more off road biased but it's that whole idea of, it's capable so let's do it lol.

Pete knows bikes. He just doesn't understand motorized bikes. He likes the kind that are powered by two legs. smile.gif

I gave up the dirt many years ago.

Little known fact: my first bike was a Honda Ascot FT 500, a bike that was used for dirt racing, but I rode primarily around campus and on pavement. Super quick off the line, but slow top speed. And yes, absolutely my preference and knowledge of the bikes you pedal far surpasses the bikes you don’t!

Man, that looks like an awesome day out, those trails look perfect for just letting loose and clearing your head. I’ve been meaning to take my dual sport out more often, but life always seems to get in the way. Your post’s giving me the push I needed to actually make the time. Totally get what you mean about riding being therapy. Something about being out there, no traffic, no noise (except the engine), just you and the trail, hard to beat. Do you run knobbies year-round, or swap tires depending on where you're headed? Might have to check out that park if I’m ever in your area. Looks like a solid spot for all-day fun. Keep the photos coming, man. Always good to see someone out there living it.

I gave up bikes too, with age comes the cage. I did endures, poker runs, the went back to street bikes and road racing for many years, now cars again.
