Definitely bring back the avatar photo's even if tiny. Other than that, I love the new mobile layout. Much easier to use and read after a long day. I don't have to zoom in/out now and so far navigation has been dmooth with no issues for me on my crappy iphone 4!

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Glad to hear it!

Yeah, I like the avatar photos too. I mean, we can see them on everyone's profile page, but I kinda dig seeing em in the forum itself. I'm going to add the avatar back and keep it pretty small. Anyone on a mobile device that would like to chime in and let us know what you think - do you want to see avatars on the mobile version or do they force you to scroll too much?

I personally love the new mobile layout. I'm using chrome on a HTC one and it looks wonderful. It makes it easier to do everything on a mobile device. I even like the art the avatars the way they are now. Keep up the great work!

Fonts, no problems, but I still hate those little floating bars with the FB, Twitter, Mail, Printer, etc on them that are to the left and top right of the screen...

Like that everything is getting back to what is familiar. Only two things. Still missing the number of posts. And the Avatars are good but still a little large. Maybe knock them down by about a 4th. Just a guesstimate but they seem close to 1.2/1.3 inches by almost 2 inches.

Not sure of the programming involved. If i was home on my computer I could find it and give ya exact measurements. Google is great for inspecting pages.

Was thinking more along the lines on 1 in x 1 in for the avatars should be closer to what would make the topic headers look a bit more in line with the feel of the layout.

As far as the desktop mode vs mobile mode on phones. Especially the note 3. Why not just hit menu then tell your browser to request the desktop site.

Yeah, I think those are going to get taken down entirely.

Unfortunately that's not going to work with most devices because that feature isn't implemented well. It's hacky. I may be able to build in the ability to eliminate the mobile view and use the tablet view instead (which is nearly identical to the desktop view). I'm going to look into that.

Ok, let me make the avatars a bit smaller and add the user's number of posts.

As I pointed out in an earlier comment, Brett has somehow coded in an override for that. Desktop request doesn't work in Dolphin, Chrome, or the phone's stock Chrome-based browser.
