Started this run in the east. It feels weird not having to follow the kingpin rules (to an extent, run Califronia a lot), trailers out here don't have skirts, seeing all the other starter companies, etc. I am in for an adventure this time. I am always in the west and it feels good to see some new places. Ohio bound tomorrow!

Just keep an eye out for those Amish horse and buggy try to run in the fast lane. Haha

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Love ohio... great service plazas on the turnpike with free showers.. just take a towel... they dont have them.. they do sell them in th e vending machine in laundry room.

Bigger than truck stops with lots of space for rookies. My first couple months I kept going out of route to drive it.... they kept trying to get me to avoid tolls. Oh well... didn't work hahah

Have fun

I just missed you then. I just took off from Columbus this morning and am sitting in eastern PA. I also find that (mountain) has a different meaning on east coast vs the left coast

I'll give it a try maybe. I always run the Oklahoma tolls, but never stopped at the plaza. It's my first time to Ohio and going through Kentucky as well. Get to add more to the list. I been avoiding the east, but it was inevitable haha.

I'm in Rolla MO, left Fayetteville AR this morning and I'm headed for Pleasant Prairie MI. Never heard of it, not only that, I didn't think they had prairies in MI. LOL

If you wanna see the East coast mountains you gotta get off the interstate lol they aren't as long of grades as out west but they are every bit as steep.

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

Heading up to Lima, OH from vance, al. Gonna be my first time in Ohio as well as going through Kentucky. I know what you mean, I heard the east has some downgrades that will catch you off guard. I been through most of the tough passes in the west while they were dry, but I did see snow in June on Snoqualmie pass haha

Yelp you got it... They aren't any worse it's just that they catch you off gaurd. And if you find yourself in WV route 60 is fun once but not after that... in fact you may want to skip it all together. I actually kinda like the two lane country roads, more so on a bike.
