Worms NE definitely sticks out.

Jupiter FL.

And Rainy, don't miss Tightwad, Humansville and Sleeper while you are in MO!

Beaver, UT. Hooker, OK. Needles, CA.

This is a stretch, because it's an "unincorporated community", not a town. A few miles west of Conway, Arkansas.

Toad Suck, AR.

There are a lot of funny town names. I especially like the border towns like Kanorado, KS, Calneva, CA, and Cal-Nev-Ari, NV. Oklahoma has a few, like Arkoma, OK, Texhoma, TX and OK, and Texola, OK. Texas got jealous so they also have Texarkana, TX and AR, and Texico, TX and NM. And don't forget Lake Texoma!

Then there's little Lineville, IA and MO. Athough there are some bullet holes in buildings that have been there since the Civil War, not much has happened there since then.

As far as just wondering where they came up with the name, Punkin Center, CO, has always bothered me. There ain't no pumpkins in Punkin Center, and it ain't the center of anything other than a big expanse of high plains. And it isn't that far from Last Chance, CO.

Someone beat me to the punch with Intercourse, PA. But there's also Blue Ball and Bird In Hand, PA.

Seriously.

There's at least one other Intercourse. Southeastern Alabama. It's barely a crossroads. About 28 miles west of Meridian MS.

I've been through Hooker OK a few times. By itself it's probably not all that crazy but there is a Hooker Hotel on the main drag and they even advertise T-shirts. LOL
