Only important stuff Paul. Trivial insignificant stuff gets burned into my brain forever. BTW, I watched/listened to the Youtube video. Very well done, I'm impressed.

Well shes going to be riding with me. I am at fault for letting my depression get the better of me and trying to find some comfort by eating. I take full fault from that. But she fully supports the trucking life, she will be on the road with me and we will just live in thr truck full time instead of wasting money for an apartment and a car we just spend what we need for the truck. I have started a diet and exorcise plan to get myself in better shape before i start my career. And why would my relationship fail if im sucessful at trucking and she and i are together on the road?

You explain it all, and I agree. Has your fiancée read Brett's Book: The Raw Truth About Trucking (free online version)?

Look up team driving. Your new wife will be cooped up nearly all the time. I forgot if you said she has or is getting a CDL. If so, you make all that money. If not she may start to feel a prisoner. {Advice Dept: things may seem all rosy and exciting at the start, but after reality sets in, things might turn out differently.}

Reaper, like all the others here, I support you in your new adventure, but you need to understand the reality. And she can also nag on you to put those cookies down while you're driving!

Lol i appreciate your concerns. No we both were in agreement that if things became too much for the two of us on the road she would get a flight out to our friend who already said she can crash there to find an apartment out there. (South carolina) she knows the proper rules about what i expect on the road and is willing to follow said rules. Also weve taken mssive road trips for the fun of it plenty of times in just my little kia forte. No issues there

(i know its different being in a truck than a car but with the truck you have more room and more space for her to read a book if bored or sleep in the safety net etc etc.)

I hope this new diet will definitely help me melt off the weight.

(Mostly fish and salad for my main food. A slice of bread during supper meals and fried foods and candy to minimum)

Idk..you said a couple things that concern me.,... 1. You expected the step father who is unsupportive to buy you something for Christmas. To me that makes no sense and is perhaps immature. It sounds petty you are annoyed he won't buy it. You are not entitled for him to buy you anything....and I personally wouldn't want anything from him. 2. "She knows the rules".... That doesn't sound like a good way to start a marriage. It should be " we discussed the rules of our truck"....if you are sticking with hers and mine a marriage won't work

On the issue of weight, I lost 45lbs in the first 9 months driving. If you can't reach it, you can't eat it. Plus I only bring a small cash allowance with me. So it's rare that I eat "truck stop" dinners.

Good luck!

I have one comment to make: I think you should consider the possibility that your fiancee's father is thinking that he's helping his daughter by telling you things that she doesn't want to tell you.
