Am I to understand that there is to be NO eating or drinking, while the wheels are turning?

That is correct. Although I do sip water or coffee, occasionally put a cookie in my mouth while I am driving, I am extremely careful about it.

Putting cookies in your mouth is how you ended up with the first Oreo conversation, right?

Patrick not sure what you mean by this. I don't eat Oreos, that's Errol.

I understand, no apology necessary, but thanks. I feel bad for Errol though, mistook me for him, good grief. He is way smarter and has clearly aged better! Still looks like he is 15 in his Avitar image. rofl-3.gif

Just the mention of cookie munching sparked a recollection. But a lot else going thru my mind right now as well. Just got my wires crossed. The Target DC is taking forever; so I am sitting here crunching numbers in my head. Trying to figure out at what point I need to send an updated ETA for delivery of my next load, as It will make me unable to complete the current projected delivery time. How much this delay will effect my next couple preplans and at what point will them taking so long start playing havoc with the rest of the entire week.

Like G Town said, that's right. At the same time, I don't know of anyone who stops their truck just to take a sip of water or soda or eat a few Oreos. Sometimes I munch on stuff just to help keep me awake and alert. Reaching down to the cup holder for a cookie isn't much different than turning up the volume on your radio. Yeah, get caught on camera and you'll get a call about it, but I don't see it being a huge deal unless it keeps happening over and over again.

I suspect the big reason they don't let something little like this slide is liability. Get in an accident while eating Oreos and the lawyers are gonna be all over it.

That's a good one Rick!

It's kind of rough with this subject because people come in here wanting to know about it, but they are unaware of all the prior discussions we've already had. Occasionally we will see some good discussion on it though, but it usually heads south fairly quickly.

At nine pages in (and that's not counting the cat fights that got deleted out).

I'll stand my ground...
