I discovered this place one day a few months ago and have returned a few times since, most recently this afternoon for lunch. It's near a lot of places a lot of us go and has easy truck parking, so I thought I'd make sure one and all know about it.

Gio's BBQ on PA 322 at the intersection of 970 just south of I80. Delicious! Beef brisket is my thing...my student had the BBQ chicken today. There are some sit down tables or they'll pack it to go or both. There is a small convenience store also. Happy eating!

Gio's sounds like a good place to get Pizza!

Now, beaing as I'm a Texan, I have a hard time thinking a guy in Pennsylvania named Gio knows how to handle slow cooking a big old beef brisket, but I'm going to take your word Dave and give it a try whenever I'm near there.

You have never had my mom's brisket. They do it different in the north.

I'm looking forward to giving it a shot myself, as I'm a huge bbq fan.

Give it a try, Old School! If it turns out that you don't care for it, then you won't have lost much. It is a nice little place to stop if in that area....hard to find a nice place to stop with truck parking outside of the traditional spots - and they rarely have BBQ :-).
