That's cool that you're getting paid! Hope they can get you out there ASAP. Keep us up to date and good luck! =)

My student has been waiting for over a week for me. I have been stuck due to lack of freight movement over Thanksgiving weekend. I feel for you.
Try to be patient as best you can. I had to wait for a non-smoking Swift Mentor for 7 days and required another bus ride from PA to Greer SC.

I’m cool. Just anxious. I HATE the bus though. lol.

Yup. I figured it would be kinda slow this week. It didn’t help that I am a non-smoker either.
When I trained with West Side they called me in and asked me if I was ok with a smoking trainer as a non smoking one wasn't available, I wanted to get my 4 weeks over with. so I accepted a smoking trainer and got lucky he was really respectful about it, and basically only smoked hanging out the window.
When I was asked I said I didnt care although I dont smoke. I figured I would get out sooner that way and if my mentor smoked I would only have to put up with the smoke a few weeks. I got lucky and got a non-smoker anyways fairly quickly. As you mentioned, at least you are getting paid while you wait. My mentor takes a lot of home time but at least I am still getting paid for his home time!
I wouldn't care, but I'm trying to quit. Again.

Hey guys and gals!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I’m sitting home waiting for my company to find me a non-smoking mentor. They are paying base training pay while I wait. It’s already been a week. I wanted to have my 200 hours done by Christmas.
