Finally home.

Drove through some cold, snowy country. Hit rush hour Chicago traffic because I took a wrong turn. Grrrr

Don't sweat it, your company needs drivers and they take your attitude as a big part of whether you will learn and do well The second time I had to back into a dock it was late at night after a very frustrating time of finding the right location. I only had 1 hr on my 11 hr clock and I was exhausted. It took me 30 minutes to back in and there were NO trailers on either side! What an embarrassment. Finally got out and found a creative parking spot with only 15 minutes left. Since then I've become much more proficient at backing. Came pretty quickly after that fiasco. Hang in there, all of us have trouble at first. And, just to add, I've learned a lot about backing from sitting at truck stops after shutdown and watching the latecomers back into those few remaining tight spots. The experienced drivers make it look easy, but they had their troubles at first. And there's no one way to do it.
