Has anyone used the slow cooker/crock pot that pilot travel center's sells. It is 1.5 qt. Thoughts on it, is it big enough?

I would think so, unless you are a big eater! Probably would fill it to the quart level, so it doesn’t slosh out. Unless your toads are way better than they are in the NE

Grumpy, How many toads can you fit in your slow cooker?

I have a 2 qt from Walmart. Plus use the liners. I can buy a chuck roast and cut it in half, put in my veggies and seasoning, add a little water. Put it on high and in 5-6 hours nice dinner waiting at the end of the day. It cost $9.95. I know the liners are for 5-6qt crocks but it still limits the amount of clean up. I was going to call the company that makes the liners to see if they have smaller liners.

Raptor, the Walmart unit is 110v, correct? Or does it have a 12v adaptor?

The WalMart is 110. No adapter. It doesn’t suck a lot of juice though. You could easily get away with a 150w 12v plug in inverter. Btw, those road pro crockpots are worthless. Same as the coffee makers. They are 4x the price and last a few months at best. Really NOT worth it. If you are allowed to have a larger inverter installed in the truck that runs off of direct battery connection; you are better off. Pony up the dough for a good inverter and by 110 appliances. You will save money in the end.
